A cheesy, savory twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this Mozzarella Cheesesteak Stromboli features tender ribeye steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and melted mozzarella cheese, all wrapped in a golden, crispy pizza dough. Perfect for a hearty meal or party snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced steak, bell pepper, and onion to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the steak is browned and the vegetables are tender.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet.
  • Spread marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a border around the edges.
  • Top the sauce with the cooked steak, bell pepper, and onion mixture.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  • Roll up the stromboli, tucking in the sides as you go.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can sprinkle some Italian seasoning or garlic powder on the dough before rolling up the stromboli.
  • You can substitute the ribeye steak with another cut of beef or even chicken for variation.
