Tri-Tip Bulgogi combines the savory, sweet, and umami flavors of Korean-style bulgogi with tender tri-tip steak. Marinated in a rich mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic, then grilled to perfection, this dish is sure to be a hit at your next dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs tri-tip steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  • Add the sliced tri-tip steak to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
  • Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  • Grill the marinated steak slices for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  • Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the steak for a longer period of time (up to 4 hours).
  • Serve this dish with steamed rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar depending on your preference.
