Ingredients
Scale
For the Salisbury Steak Meatballs:
- 1 bag (26 oz) frozen meatballs (about 30–35 meatballs)
- 2 cups reduced-sodium beef broth
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
For the Cornstarch Slurry:
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- Place the frozen meatballs in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce until fully combined.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the meatballs in the slow cooker, making sure they are well-coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the meatballs are heated through and the gravy has thickened.
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking, prepare the cornstarch slurry: In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with cold water until smooth.
- Slowly pour the cornstarch slurry into the slow cooker while stirring to combine. Let the mixture cook for the remaining 30 minutes to thicken the gravy.
- Once the gravy has thickened to your liking, give it a final stir and serve the Salisbury steak meatballs over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Notes
- For a thicker gravy, you can add more cornstarch slurry as needed.
- You can use regular beef broth if you don’t need the reduced-sodium version.
- If you prefer to cook on high, the cook time will be 2-3 hours instead of 4-6 hours.
