Description

This Sweet Baby Ray’s Crockpot Chicken is a flavorful, easy-to-make dish that’s perfect for busy days. The chicken is tender and infused with the delicious tangy-sweet flavors of Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce, with just the right amount of heat from red pepper flakes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 46 chicken breasts
  • 1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce, vinegar, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, and garlic powder.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce.
  • Serve the shredded chicken on its own, over rice, or in sandwiches.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can marinate the chicken in the sauce mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • You can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts for a slightly juicier result.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes if you prefer a milder or spicier flavor.
