Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt.
- Stir in the warm water until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a covered Dutch oven in the oven while it preheats.
- Fold in the rosemary and garlic into the dough.
- Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven and place the dough inside.
- Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Ensure the dough rests for a full 12-18 hours to develop the flavor.
- For a crispier crust, you can bake the bread without covering the Dutch oven for the last 15 minutes.
