Description

A quick and easy dinner that combines the savory flavors of taco meat with a buttery, flaky crescent roll crust. Topped with cheese, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream, this taco bake is sure to be a hit with the whole family.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 375°F. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Cook until mixture thickens.
  • Unroll dough and place in an ungreased 13×9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish; press over bottom to form crust. Bake for 5 minutes.
  • Spoon beef mixture over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes longer or until crust is deep golden brown and cheese is melted. Top with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream before serving.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or chicken as a healthier alternative to ground beef.
  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce if you like extra spice.
