These Peach Crumble Bars are the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and buttery. With a crumbly topping and a luscious peach filling, they make for an irresistible dessert that’s perfect for summer gatherings or any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • 1 egg
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter and egg until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Spread the peach mixture evenly over the crust.
  5. Crumble the remaining flour mixture over the top of the peach layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • You can substitute frozen peaches if fresh ones aren’t available. Just be sure to thaw and drain them before using.
  • Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
  • These bars store well in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
