Description

These decadent Oreo Brownies combine the rich, fudgy texture of brownies with the sweet crunch of Oreos, creating the ultimate dessert for any chocolate lover. With a luscious chocolate base and a layer of whole Oreos, these brownies are sure to be a hit at any gathering or as an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cut into ½-inch cubes

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 24 Oreo cookies

  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan with cooking spray and line it with parchment paper for easy removal of the brownies.

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until completely melted and smooth.

  • Stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.

  • Gently fold in the remaining 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips.

  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly.

  • Press the 24 Oreo cookies into the batter in a single layer.

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.

  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For extra chocolatey goodness, chop up some Oreos and stir them into the batter along with the whole cookies.

  • You can substitute the semisweet chocolate chips with dark or milk chocolate chips for a different flavor.

  • These brownies pair perfectly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
