Description
This loaded baked potato recipe takes comfort food to the next level by adding juicy steak bites, crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese, and creamy sour cream to a perfectly baked russet potato. A hearty, delicious dish that’s perfect for any dinner or a special treat!
Instructions
- Bake the Potatoes
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Scrub the russet potatoes clean, then poke a few holes in each potato with a fork. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork. - Cook the Steak Bites
While the potatoes are baking, heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak cubes with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the steak bites to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until they’re browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and set aside. - Prepare the Toppings
While the steak cooks, prepare the rest of your toppings. Shred the cheddar cheese, cook and crumble the bacon, and chop the green onions or chives. - Assemble the Loaded Potatoes
Once the potatoes are done, cut a slit down the center of each potato and gently fluff the insides with a fork. Top each potato with a spoonful of sour cream, a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese, some steak bites, crumbled bacon, and a garnish of green onions or chives. - Serve
Serve the loaded baked potatoes hot, and enjoy these hearty, flavorful potatoes with steak bites!
