Description

Homemade A1 Steak Sauce is a flavorful, tangy, and sweet alternative to store-bought versions. Made with a blend of ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and spices, this sauce enhances the flavor of steaks, grilled meats, and more. It’s quick to prepare and perfect for storing in your fridge for future use.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients.
  • Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  • Remove from heat and let cool before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey to taste.
  • The sauce will thicken as it cools, so feel free to add a small amount of water if you prefer a thinner consistency
