Description
Holiday Cranberry Jalapeño Cream Cheese Dip is a festive, sweet, tangy, and spicy appetizer perfect for any gathering. The creamy base topped with a fresh, zesty cranberry and jalapeño mixture offers the perfect balance of flavors. It’s an easy-to-make, crowd-pleasing dip that will elevate your holiday celebrations!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (12-ounce) bag fresh cranberries, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1–2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped (adjust heat to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Prepare the Cranberry Mixture: In a food processor, pulse the cranberries a few times until coarsely chopped. Avoid over-processing; the mixture should be chunky, not pureed. Transfer the cranberries to a medium bowl. Add the sugar, green onions, jalapeños, cilantro, and lime juice. Stir until well combined. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Base: Spread the softened cream cheese evenly on a serving platter or shallow dish. Ensure the layer is smooth and about 1/2 inch thick.
- Assemble the Dip: Just before serving, spoon the cranberry mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer. Spread gently to avoid mixing the layers.
- Serve: Pair the dip with crackers, tortilla chips, or toasted baguette slices. This dip is a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors for any holiday gathering!
Notes
- Adjust the number of jalapeños based on how spicy you like your dip.
- For a smoother texture, you can pulse the cranberry mixture more finely.
- This dip can be prepared a day ahead to allow the flavors to fully meld.
