  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Filet of Beef is an elegant and easy-to-make dish that’s perfect for a special occasion or a simple, delicious dinner. Roasted to perfection with a fragrant blend of garlic, rosemary, and thyme, this tender and juicy beef tenderloin will impress everyone at the table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef tenderloin (Filet of Beef)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Rub the beef tenderloin with olive oil, and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Sprinkle the minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme evenly over the beef.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the beef reaches your desired level of doneness (use a meat thermometer for accuracy: 120°F for rare, 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).
  • Let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, marinate the beef for a couple of hours (or overnight) in the olive oil, garlic, rosemary, and thyme mixture before roasting.
  • Serve with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple green salad.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
