- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup chocolate custard
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and yeast.
- Heat milk until warm (around 110°F/43°C), then add to the dry ingredients.
- Mix in eggs and softened butter until a dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let dough rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into donut shapes using a donut cutter or two round cutters.
- Spoon a small amount of chocolate custard into the center of each donut.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C) and fry donuts until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove donuts from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
