A delicious twist on classic Salisbury steak, these cheesy meatballs are tender and flavorful, smothered in a rich mozzarella and beef broth gravy. Perfect for dinner and sure to please the whole family!

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet, bring beef broth to a simmer. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with a little bit of water to create a slurry. Slowly whisk the slurry into the simmering broth until thickened.
- Add mozzarella cheese to the thickened broth and stir until melted.
- Place the cooked meatballs in the skillet and coat them with the cheesy sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- You can substitute the mozzarella with cheddar cheese for a different flavor.
- Make sure the meatballs are cooked through (use a meat thermometer for accuracy, aiming for 160°F internal temperature).
- Garnish with additional cheese or herbs if desired.
