delightful baked apples are stuffed with a creamy cheesecake filling, making them the perfect warm dessert for any occasion. Topped with a drizzle of caramel sauce, they are a sweet and cozy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large apples
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • Caramel sauce, for drizzling

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Apples: Cut the top off each apple and core the inside, removing the seeds and creating space for the cheesecake filling.
  • Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Stir until smooth.
  • Add Pecans: Stir in the chopped pecans to the cheesecake mixture.
  • Stuff the Apples: Stuff each apple with the cheesecake mixture, packing it gently into the hollowed center.
  • Bake: Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the filling is slightly golden.
  • Serve: Drizzle with caramel sauce just before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.

Notes

  • If you prefer a sweeter filling, add more sugar to taste.
  • You can use walnuts or almonds instead of pecans for a different flavor.
