  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the apple butter, softened butter, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the egg.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  • Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
